The Ferntiuktuk Sheriff Department is where Sheriff Ryan is stationed in Ferntiuktuk, Alaska. He is assisted by his St. Bernard, Bernie, who acts as a rescue dog during the Ferntiuktuk Dog Sled Race. It is the Alaskan counterpart to the Fernfield Sheriff Department in Fernfield, Washington.
